Growing Minds Chess Academy Winter 2024 Training

We are offering our Winter Virtual group chess classes. All classes will be taught using Zoom.
Students will need to have a free lichess.org account to participate in the arena chess matches.

Wednesdays:

Tournament Chess Strategy Clinic

Time: 5:45 - 7:00 PM EST (75 mins)

We are thrilled to offer a new, exciting clinic that examines Tournament chess strategy that has been used in top level chess. We will examine the heroes of modern chess and look at which strategies work best and apply them to our own games. We will also look at openings and learn strategies the greats have used. We will also look at how to improve upon our own games. This class is appropriate for those who are USCF rated 700-1300 and plan to compete in major events such as the State and National Chess Championships. Learn with a National Chess Champion!

Each clinic will look at a masterful game, where ideas will be shared among students and discussed in a group setting.

National Master Abby Marshall will be running the Tournament Chess Clinic. She has dedicated her time to keeping up to date with modern chess and has active engagement with the current tournaments such as the Grand Chess Tour, The World Championship Cycle, Tata Steel and other elite tournaments. Abby is also our most sought after chess instructor and is extremely personable with students of all ages and abilities.

Cost: $250 for 10 classes, $225 early bird special through 1/1/24
